SOAP GRATER
A solid soap dispenser designed to avoid any direct contact in a post-Covid context. Inspired by a grater, it delivers a fine and reassuring dose while promoting the use of solid soap.
Soap Grater was born in a context shaped by the health crisis. In response to widespread caution around shared surfaces, I imagined a solution that allows solid soap to be used without ever touching it directly, while preserving the ecological and sensory qualities of the material. The mechanism is inspired by a grater: the soap is placed inside the device, and each press delivers a fine, ready-to-use dose. This simple, intuitive and playful gesture avoids direct contact and makes the experience more reassuring, without compromising the artisanal and sustainable nature of solid soap. The technical drawing reveals the precision and rationality of the system: only three screws and one spring are needed to ensure proper operation. This refined design minimizes the number of components, simplifies maintenance, and makes the object both robust and accessible. The 3D rendering helps to grasp the physical presence of the object, its materials, textures, finishes, and reflections. Every detail is carefully designed to support the gesture and connect with the bathroom environment.
